Topright had the pleasure of attending The Ceremony of The Christmas Cheese again this year by invite of Dairy UK.

The annual Ceremony of the Christmas Cheeses is held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. With it being 2018 – celebrating a centenary of the Armistice, the Ceremony of The Christmas Cheeses paid special tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in battle as well as those who fought to ensure our freedom.

Dairy UK has proudly supported the Christmas Cheese Ceremony at the Royal Hospital Chelsea since 1959. The tradition dates back to the opening of the Royal Hospital in 1692 when a local cheesemonger provided the Chelsea Pensioners with their festive supply of cheese. This year over 270kg of British Cheese was kindly donated to the Chelsea Pensioners who will eat and enjoy it well into 2019!  We were treated to fantastic performance from Joe Stilgoe, who provided a medley of Christmas classics to begin the start of the festive period. The Ceremony was followed by lunch in the State Apartments where we dined with all members of the Dairy industry as well as some in-pensioners.
