A simple and effective design approach can have great impact, creating a trustworthy method of conveying a message. This recent work that topright undertook involved creating the identity and collateral for a series of conferences to be held in London, Glasgow and Cardiff. Using a simple type of design approach, topright created an HTML invite, pop-up banners, programme, design image and styling to tie it all together. The conference kicked off today in Glasgow.

 

The conference will bring together experts from across the breadth of nutrition science to discuss, disseminate and harness the body of evidence investigating the role of saturated fats, dairy fats and dairy food in cardiometabolic disease. The conference is entitled ‘Saturated Fat, Dairy and Cardiovascular Disease: A Fresh Look at the Evidence’. A scientific and matter of fact title that demanded support graphics of a similar nature.

 

The restrain in colour used throughout the design collateral brings an understated, authoritative tone, amplifying this serious and often misunderstood topic. The ‘align-right’ cover text brought a deliberate styling cue. Thus creating a distinctive, non-fussy image and communicating an attitude that offers the feeling – ‘now-to-business!’.
